Friday evening : welcome the guests. During supper, you will make your selections for Saturday evening’s meal (we have numerous recipe books for your perusal) and we prepare the shopping list.
Saturday morning : we go to the market to purchase the ingredients for Saturday’s dinner. The Châtillon sur Challarone’s market is held in a splendid XVth century hall where one can find an abundance of excellent products. We also have addresses of good local suppliers.
Saturday noon : after returning from the market, we share a mâchon (local word for a meal bread-saucisson-cheese).
Saturday afternoon : all guest will be busy in front of the kitchen stove to prepare the evening meal.
Saturday evening : smartly dressed, we meet for the aperitif in front of the fireplace in the living-room. Then we sit down to table, enjoy our meal and congratulate each other !
Sunday : free. We have many suggestions for interesting excursions in the region. A mâchon is prepared for those who prefer to stay quietly at Lambert. |
